Day 7: Out and About (And Up and Down) in Shrewsbury, Chapter 1

Well, after a five-hour long train ride (and a nice long nap), I finally arrived in Shrewsbury today. Shrewsbury is in northwestern England right on the border of Wales.
Beautiful train station at Shrewsbury

After a very short walk, we came upon our quaint little hotel, called The Vaults.
Walking to our hotel; the streets are so cute!

Immediately after checking in, we all decided we were very hungry, so we set out to find some dinner.
"The Square" of Shrewsbury. Lauren and I ate in a little Patisserie off of the square.

After dinner, we returned to our hotel to relax for a while. Our hotel has a rooftop garden; it's adorable and the views are great!!!

Later, Lauren and I went for a walk around Shrewsbury. It's a very hilly town and the streets are mostly cobblestone. We walked along the river and through the park before coming back to our hotel!!

Shrewsbury High School

St. Chad's Church

Statue of Hercules (a copy of the real one from Ancient Greece)

That's me, on a footbridge.

We found a playground!! THEY HAD A TEETER TOTTER!!!!! Words cannot even describe how excited I was. I haven't seen a teeter totter in the States in years!! This one was high-tech because your seat never hit the ground!

Playing in the playground

Cute streets again :)
On the way back, we stopped inside a McDonald's to see if it was different, and if was! They have all different kinds of sandwiches (much healthier, it seemed) and I tried the raspberry chocolate brownie McFlurry. Delicious!
